Sun-drenched Streets

Skipping on cobblestones

Freshly baked bread wafting

The wind brings forth clouds

And the scent of you…

A sip of Coffee

A hint of bitterness, milky sweet

I find myself longing for your kiss

Warm, reverent, and tasting of melancholy

In the midst of a crowded city

Holding my face up to rain drops

Smiling to myself; cities away from you

You are clutched to my heart like a secret

You hold me

Mesmerize me

And I’m never alone.
