Criteria for written pieces to be featured in the Untitled Chapter Book.
It’s almost that time of year when we start compiling written pieces for the Untitled Chapter. We have a limited amount of pages so to streamline the process for choosing the pieces, we are applying a point system to make judging easier and less subjective. Each written piece is initially read by 2-3 members of the Untitled Chapter Team and the following criteria should be applied.
Creativity 40%
Structure 20%
Adherence to Theme 10%
Grammar 10%
Length 10%
“Wow!” factor 10%
TOTAL: 100%
We will discuss the criteria at length below. For every question answered, there is a 10 percent awarded- If the answer to that question is a “no”, then it should not.
After the written pieces have been read by 2-3 members of the Untitled Chapter team, the pieces that receive an average of 80% or better will pass on to the second reading. In the second reading, only the best from these will be featured in the book.
