Book Title: Hex Hall
Author: Rachel Hawkins
Genre: YA,
Summary: Sophie Mercer is a witch, and not exactly a master of her craft. After a disastrous spell gone wrong, Sophie is sentenced to Hecate Hall, a juvenile school for supernatural beings. Before her first day is over, Sophie makes enemies after the three only dark witches in school, develops a crush on a warlock, and befriends the only vampire in school. When kids are randomly attacked though, all signs point to Sophie’s vampire friend, and she’s determined to prove her innocence.
Review:
To say that I LOVED this book is an understatement. Sophie was just hilarious, and her voice is easy to get in to. She reminded me of how past books used to be, where readers could feel the essence of the heroine without being told what she is. She had an amazing and funny voice. The pace and events in the books were equally great. There were many things happening around Sophie, and she described Hex Hall so well, from the setting to the people in it, I felt involved. And of course, the romance. It was just right. Loved how light hearted it was, and it developed nicely. Hawkins kept a lot under her sleeve, and I appreciated that. I could go on, but the bottom line is– I WANT DEMONGLASS NOW!!
Audience: Older teens- the characters can be a little cheeky!

To be honest, in this trilogy I prefered the first two books. I am refusing to read Spell Bound, for I read spoilers in a review on it. I do not like the ending but overall these book are amazing. I like the sracasm in the book, quite enjoyable! 🙂 I do recommened it because I know others will form other opinions that I had on these books. It’s fast paced and smooth, easy to get and funny at the same time!
I agree with you. Unfortunately, the last book didn’t do a good wrap up of events, but Hawkins is still a great writer.
And I think I know the spoiler you’re talking about. XD
Glad to meet a fan of the first two!
Yes, she is a great writer, no doubt!
