Small

He was suffocating

No matter how much he tried to free his mind, his haunting thoughts would not leave him.

No matter how much he studied the intrigue designs on the heavy double doors that stood in front of him, his mind simply wouldn’t be at ease.

Not even his brother’s jokes were falling on deaf ears.

He was standing next to his brothers and yet he felt so far away from him.

No one can be able to understand.

His uncle might have, once upon a time, a long time ago.

But he had his father with him at that time.

He had no one, for his uncle was the only father he’d ever known.

And yet, he could not confine to him.

An heir to the throne of this great kingdom, and yet he had never felt so small.
