The leaves of autumn fall helplessly every year

Just to get broken down into shards

As the earth swallows it whole

It holds onto the branch with all its faith

Except the wind will senselessly blow it away

But know that no kind of

Season, ground, or weather

Will ever separate me from you

My soul will live in the cracks of your bark

To make you whole again
