Is it a crime

To hide from big words

That are larger than you?

To run away from feelings

That are wider than you?

If that’s the case,

Cuff me now and lock me up.

I cannot handle what I don’t know.

I cannot manage what I can’t understand.

So I’ll stay in this prison cell quietly,

Hoping for light to guide people,

To take their negativity

And sentence it the death penalty.
