We came across this event in Facebook and wanted to post it on the website for our members and visitors to the site for a chance to be able to participate in a Performance Poetry Workshop organized by Tempo Magazine

This workshop will be facilitated by Dorian “Paul D” Rogers, award-winning poet from the USA who:

• Has been featured at over 35 colleges and universities
• Winner of 2007 National Poetry Slams in Austin, Texas
• 2005 Individual Champion of Southern Fried Poetry Slams
• Performed on stage with Amiri Baraka, Nikki Giovanni and Stevie Wonder

How the workshop will be run: 

Each poet will receive individualized assistance focusing on the performance aspect of spoken word poetry (voice inflection, volume, speed, articulation and memorization)

Requirements: 

Each poet will be required to bring an original poem with them for the workshop.
